Take-Home Tech I Course Offered By NSPI

The National Spa & Pool Institute now offers builders the opportunity to study the Tech I course from home, allowing them to progress at their own pace or as their training schedule permits.

Tech I is the first and most basic of three levels in the NSPI Service Technician Certification Program, which includes the Tech I, Tech II and Certified programs. NSPI members who successfully complete the Certified level of the program are granted the CSP (Certified Service Professional) designation.

Tech I course participants receive the NSPI Service Tech Manual, as well as the Tech I workbook, which is divided into two parts.

Participants simply complete the workbook and mail it to NSPI within 12 months. They can then sit for the Tech 1 exam. A score of 75 percent or better is required in order to earn the Tech 1 registration.

The course fee is $350 for NSPI members and $700 for non-members. This fee covers the manual, workbooks and exam processing.

For more information or to enroll in the Tech I course, contact Bird Dawson at 703/838-0083, ext. 152, or e-mail [email protected].
