The Chlorine Pyramid Side 2: Corrosion, Staining, Scaling and LSI
Oct 15, 2026
Overview:
Does LSI truly measure corrosion? How should we balance LSI and Sanitation?
In the original Chlorine Pyramid webinar, we learned about the foundation that supports chlorine, and the many factors that inhibit chlorine’s ability to sanitize… and hopefully a few ways to help chlorine.
This second side of the Pyramid explores the overlapping factors that control both sanitation and LSI (The scaling or corrosive nature of your water)
We ask questions about what you can control, and what you should control. We also discuss the myriad of factors that you can’t control due to the nature of an outdoor recreational body of water.
The goal of Side 1 was to literally focus on the focal point – chlorine. The goal of side 2 is zoom out and see more of the picture – to see and understand how one element effects multiple outcomes.
