Jupiter, Fla.-based APi has promoted Michael Moore to president/COO, effective immediately. A 17 year veteran of the swimming pool and spa industry, Moore joined APi in 2009 to lead the specialty chemical company's sales and marketing efforts, most recently serving as vice president of sales and marketing.
"We are excited to have Mike leading our team to the next level," said Jim Stuart, who served as APi's President for over 12 years. "He has been instrumental in helping build our dealer network and structure the company for sustainable growth. Mike's experience and integrity make him a perfect fit to manage our growing business." Stuart will remain with APi as Chairman/CEO.

Plastimayd, LLC has expanded its CoverLogix sales team to include Bill Crelin, who will be company's CoverLogix sales manager for the eastern United States. Over the past year, Crelin has been covering the company's Mid-Atlantic region with responsibility for all company brands, but will now be responsible exclusively for sales of the CoverLogix covers in both the Mid-Atlantic as well as the eastern half of the United States. Crelin has worked in the swimming pool industry for over 28 years, with experience in all aspects of safety cover sales and installation, vinyl liner pool sales, installation and manufacturing.
Zodiac Pool Systems has announced several promotions in executive management following the appointment of Bruce Brooks as CEO of Zodiac's Global Pool Care division June 2011. Zodiac Pool Systems' current COO, Anthony Prudhomme, adds the responsibility of chief financial officer-Global Pool Care, and Troy Franzen becomes managing director-Americas.
Brooks brings significant international leadership experience in both business-to-business and consumer products to the company, having been previously with Black & Decker Corporation for more than 20 years. Brooks will lead the global pool care group from the company's American headquarters in Vista, San Diego County, Calif.
Prudhomme, a veteran of the company, will continue in his role as chief operations officer for Zodiac Pool Systems and will add the role of chief financial officer for Global Pool Care, leveraging his expertise in both operations and finance. Prudhomme led the US-based pool systems group for the 14 months prior to Brooks joining the company, and has been instrumental in consolidating its North American operations in one location in Vista. He came to Zodiac from Water Pik Technologies, for which he served as chief financial officer.
Franzen is well prepared for his promotion to managing director-Americas, reporting directly to Brooks. He joined Zodiac Pool Systems as vice president of business development in early 2010 and has served as executive vice president of sales and marketing-Americas for the past 15 months. He has more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management. Prior to joining Zodiac, Franzen served as vice president of retail sales for the Hardware and Home Improvement division of Black & Decker.
DeltaUV, a leading manufacturer of ultraviolet technology in North America, has hired Jeff Boynton as director of sales and marketing for North America. Boynton has worked in the swimming pool and spa industry for over 22 years, primarily in Europe. He will be responsible for managing all of DeltaUV's existing customers as well as growing the company's sales in North America. Delta UV is headquartered in Gardena, Calif.
