• Pool building giant Anthony & Sylvan Pools Corporation announced that it is opening a new division in San Antonio, Texas.
The company has formed a strategic alliance with Anderson Pools and Patios, run by long-time pool builder Steven Anderson. Anthony & Sylvan will assume Anderson Pools’ existing location in Bulverde, Texas, and rebrand it as Anthony & Sylvan. Anderson will join Anthony & Sylvan’s management team in Texas, headed by Texas general manager Bob Van Horn.
“We are very excited about our formal entry into San Antonio, a market we have been looking at for some time and view as a natural fit with our substantial operations in Houston and Austin,” said Stuart D. Neidus, chairman and CEO of Anthony & Sylvan. “This expansion is good news for San Antonio and beyond. With the economy beginning to rebound, we are looking forward to a robust pool-building season and an acceleration of our growing market share nationally.”
• Dover Vinyl Products and Jersey Cover Corporation are changing their brand names to Endurance Pool Products.
A press release from the newly named company said the products will remain the same, but Endurance customers could expect more marketing support, training programs and a new online ordering system.

• American Granby, Liverpool, N.Y., has acquired Wingmaster Plus of Norwood, N.J. All Wingmaster Plus assets have been consolidated with AGI’s distribution facility in Liverpool.
Wingmaster Plus, which has been sold through American Granby since 2004, specializes in the design, manufacture and sale of specialty tools and accessories for pool service professionals, including anchor and shell extractors, universal keys for jets, templates, deburring tools and more.
• Hasa recently announced that Mark Wilson will now serve as the company’s CEO. Wilson previously held both the CEO and president positions. The new president of Hasa, Incorporated, appointed by Wilson and the Board of Directors, is Rory Manly.
Manly has been involved in the pool industry for over 40 years, including stints as general manager for Pool Water Products and General Pool Supply.
• DeltaUV, manufacturers of residential and commercial UV water-treatment products, will now work with Mullarkey Associates to sell and market its products in the Midwest region of the United States.
Mullarkey is an independent group of reps that helps manufacturers sell their products in 14 Midwestern states.
