Sometimes inspiration is as close as your own backyard. But when it's not, where do you look for the ideas that make your projects stand apart from the crowd. We suggest looking in other people's backyards! And to you save time, we've gathered together a lot of backyards from across the country and overseas, too.
Here you'll find creative solutions to challenges posed by the building site, the materials and sometimes the homeowners. You'll see materials you may not have used before. You'll see designs that invite you to think outside the boundaries of the ordinary.
You may have noticed that we've changed the name of the name of the awards program to the AQUA Choice Awards. We think this more accurately reflects the quality of the awards. The winners are chosen by your peers in the AQUA community; experts in every segment of the pool and spa industry and from every region of North America.
Once you've gleaned the useful ideas from these pages, let others in the AQUA community know what you think.
Using the ballot on the following page (Note: Ballots appear in subscriber copies only), choose your favorites and cast ONE VOTE in each category. Select the one that illustrates the finest design and craftsmanship for the environment it's placed in.
After you've cast one vote in each category, fold the postage-paid ballot and be sure it gets postmarked by Dec. 18, 2006.
Winners will be showcased in AQUA's February issue and will also appear on aquamagazine.com, where photo galleries of winning entries from past years are already displayed. The editors wish to thank you for voting, and we particularly appreciate the efforts of all the spa and pool companies that entered this year's competition. The AQUA Choice Awards contest is a great opportunity to earn recognition for your company's hard work, and the issue can also be an invaluable marketing tool, since projects featured can be shown to clients year-round.
