“We are very excited to add a southern presence to our current liner manufacturing operation, which includes facilities in Hamilton, N.J., and Deer Park, N.Y.,” said Andrew Maggion, president of Merlin. “Factory Direct Liners has built a great reputation of quality products and service for over 20 years and we look forward to continuing to provide their customers those same qualities under the Merlin brand.”
Merlin has been shipping liners to the Southeast from its New Jersey plant, and the new factory will save on shipping costs, reduce delivery time and increase the brand’s presence in the region, according to Jim Zell, vice president of sales and marketing for Merlin.
The asset purchase by Merlin Industries includes only the liner manufacturing side of the business. The retail and installation side of Factory Direct Liners will continue as a stand-alone business maintaining its current name and ownership.
