Are you a service professional planning to head to the big show in Vegas? Show organizers at IPSPE have organized an impressive new lineup of education for service pros, including certification exams and training to keep you on the cutting edge.
“This new level of service education is carefully crafted to vault attendees who complete the classes to the top of their game in this hyper-competitive industry we live in,” says Michael Reed, director of professional development for APSP, the show’s official sponsor. “In today’s fast-moving environment, it’s not enough for pool/spa service professionals to do what they did last year. They must stay current with trends and advanced techniques.”
The classes will take place prior to IPSPE, from Nov. 9 to Nov. 11, meaning you can take care of your education first and leave room to explore the show floor. Here’s just a few highlights of the service-related offerings:
Led by top industry instructors, the APSP Energy Efficiency Course is a one-day course offered on Monday, November 11, from 8 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. that will help participants understand the current energy efficiency requirements for pools and spas, outlined in the ANSI/APSP/ICC - 15 2011 American National Standard for Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Energy Efficiency, which customers demand.
The APSP Certified Service Professional is the industry's highest level of service provider certification. Separate yourself from other providers and distinguish yourself as an industry leader! The CSP course is a one-day course offered Sunday, November 10, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Attendees wanting to achieve the highest level of professional certification in the industry will also have the opportunity to take the CSP Exam. While anyone can participate in the APSP service education offerings, attendees must have five or more years of industry experience and 24 hours of continuing education credits to qualify to take the CSP exam and prep course. The program requirements are fully outlined at www.apsp.org/csp.
