World Aquatic Health Conference Goes Virtual

The Pool and Hot Tub Alliance's World Aquatic Health Conference, an educational conference for aquatics professionals, is going virtual this year amid the global pandemic. Celebrating its 17th year, WAHC continues the tradition of disseminating cutting-edge science relevant to all segments of the pool and spa market. PHTA is working with scheduled speakers, sponsors and industry partners to deliver a reimagined conference this October 15 and 16. And, while the delivery method has changed, the organization promises that the quality content and caliber of speakers remain the same.

David Collier Joins Poolcorp as VP of Operations

David Collier joins POOLCORP as the vice president of operations and supply chain, reporting directly to POOLCORP President and CEO Pete Arvan. David will be responsible for leading the operations and logistics teams as well as the CSLs. He will also be taking over leadership of sourcing from Dave Cook who has successfully led that function for the past several years. Reporting to David will be Mark Alvarez, senior director of operations; Ernesto Salas, senior director of global sourcing; Eddie Candilora, director of logistics and Roger Moore, regional CSL manager.

PHTA International Awards Program Extends Deadline

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance International Awards of Excellence program is one of the largest, most well-renowned design competitions in the industry recognizing pool and hot tub installations. Each year, hundreds of entries showcasing beauty, creativity and innovation are submitted by builders around the world. The deadline for submission is Friday, July 31.
