In Vegas, the Odds Are in Your Favor

Not everyone can win big in Vegas, but you can by attending this year’s PSP Expo.

More than 10,500 people from all over the world (80 different countries are represented this year) are expected to gather at Mandalay Bay for the show, with 500 exhibitors showing off the latest exciting developments in residential and commercial pool and spa technology. Add to that the 45 conference sessions on design practices, installation techniques, retail strategies, construction, digital media and management, among others, and it’s clear the PSP Expo is a sure bet.

Wednesday, October 31, 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Thursday, November 1 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, November 2 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

In addition to the expansive 134,000-squarefoot show floor, the PSP Expo is host to an array of fun, engaging events. The annual Welcome Party, for example, is always one of the highlights of the week; this year, the party moves off-site to Acrylic Tank Manufacturing, home of Animal Planet’s hit show “TANKED.” Fifty bucks will get you a ticket to the event with complimentary beer, wine and appetizers. (And for Vegas, there are few better deals than that.)

Also new this year is the Million Dollar Pool Design Challenge. In this exciting, new competition, up-and-coming builders were given a fictional client, location and a wish list of features, and tasked to draft an epic outdoor oasis on a $1 million budget. On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 9:15 a.m., the five finalists will present their designs and the winner will take home a $5,000 cash prize.

The show floor has a few new attractions as well. At the Connection Corner (booth #1040), attendees can network with fellow pros and get a professional headshot taken. (A great idea if your LinkedIn page could use a refresh!) Take a break between seminars at the Party on the Patio area (booth #2575) and play an outdoor game or two, or visit the Relaxation Station (booth #3519) for massages, refreshments and more.

In response to attendee feedback, the Expo is partnering with APSP University to offer invaluable hands-on learning opportunities.
