AQUA has announced the winners of this year’s AQUA Choice Awards, an international competition that recognizes the best in residential aquatic design and construction.
Each of the winners will be profiled in an upcoming issue of AQUA magazine, one per month, according to the following schedule:
January: Valley Pool and Spa, Kelowna, B.C., Canada
February: Combined Energy Systems, Littleton, Mass.
March: Angie Thornbury Homes, Los Angeles, Calif.
April: Pool Environments, Plano, Texas
May: BioNova Natural Pools, Chester, N.J.
June: Medallion Pool Co., Arden, N.C.
July: Tumber & Associates, Orangeville, Ontario (spa/water feature winner)
August: Renaissance Pools & Spas, Jacksonville, Fla. (manufactured pool winner)
September: The Green Scene, Northridge, Calif.
October: AAA Custom Pools, Palm Beach, Fla.
November: Roger Willis Contracting, Ontario
The winners were chosen by a panel of judges, all former AQUA Choice winners in their own right. The panel gathered in Las Vegas on November 2 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Hall, and made their selections based on three criteria — aesthetics, technical difficulty and innovation, with at least one winner coming from both the manufactured pool category and the hot tub/water feature category.
AQUA would like to thank the judges for all their hard work in making extremely difficult selections. This year’s panel included Lisa North and Andre Del Re of Da Vida Pools in Austin, Texas; Jeff Gale of Pacific Pools of St. George, St. George, Nev.; and Barry Justus of Poolscape, Ontario, Canada.
