Water Tech Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Water Tech Corp, manufacturer of the original Pool Blaster, Volt and Precision battery powered pool cleaners is celebrating its 20th year in business this season. Guy Erlich founded Water Tech Corporation in 2001 in an apartment building in New York City and has helped the company find success in the competitive pool and spa cleaner arena ever since. The company now operates out of a large facility in E. Brunswick, New Jersey with more than 20,000 sq. ft. of space.

World Aquatic Health Conference Moves to Virtual Platform

The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) Board of Directors has made the unanimous decision to hold the 2021 World Aquatic Health Conference (WAHC) in a virtual format only, in the interest of public health and safety. WAHC 2021 will now be presented as an entirely virtual event on December 7-9.

AQUA Launches National Conference and Trade Show

AQUA Magazine has begun preparations for a new educational conference and trade show to be held next fall at the Charlotte Convention Center, October 5-7, 2022. “AQUA Live” will bring together thousands of the most successful pool and spa professionals in North America for education, forums, exhibits and events, says AQUA Editor Scott Webb. But the show will have a distinctive flavor.

FSPA Announces the 2021-2022 Margaret M. Brown Scholarship Recipients

The Margaret M. Brown Scholarship Fund of the Florida Swimming Pool Association is available to dependents of owners and employees of FSPA member companies. This program helps members meet the high cost of college expenses for their children. The award is presented by the Florida Swims Foundation.

Poolwerx Franchise Expands in North Texas

Poolwerx has added two new pool supply and service locations in North Texas, both owned and operated by female entrepreneurs. Darlene Childs opened Poolwerx Lantana and Melanie Earles has opened Poolwerx Haslet, each servicing their greater areas. After being disappointed with some of the options in their respective neighborhoods, they each saw an opportunity to bring the kind of pool supplies and services they sought to their communities. They took matters into their own hands.
