The APSP, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), will host free VGB training events May 11-12 across the United States.
The Virginia Graeme Baker Act aims to prevent suction entrapment accidents and eviscerations in public pools and spas. The training sessions will tackle the nuts and bolts of VGB compliance.
"The APSP's mission of promoting consumer safety and enhancing the business success of its members is realized through partnership with worthy initiatives such as the CPSC's Pool Safely campaign," the association said in a release. "By working together with CPSP, APSP can assist in disseminating information about the P&SS Act and start a national conversation that will change the way industry professionals and the public view water safety."
