Again this year, PIE is offering exhibitors the opportunity to present their products to individuals in a closed session in two-hour time slots during seminar hours. Vendors in assigned rooms will be able to exhibit as well as speak about their products.
The cost is $400 for each time slot at the Doubletree Hotel. Some AV equipment is included, such as an overhead and a screen and stand with electrical hook-up. Additional AV equipment is also available. PIE will also market the seminar in its attendance brochures, Web site and seminar schedules.

The Fiesta Barbecue, PIE Olympics and a dance will be held Friday, Oct. 3. The $25 ticket includes an all-youcan-eat barbecue of chicken, ribs and all the trimmings, The Pool Man Band and the Pool Tech Olympics with cash prizes.
On Wednesday, Oct. 1, the annual golf tournament will kick off at Monterey's Black Horse Golf Course in Fort Ord, Calif. Each November, this course hosts the PGA Qualifying Tournaments. This year, the Pro-Am will be played at the same time as PIE's Golf Tournament. Cost is $125, which includes an awards banquet to follow at Peter Bee's Brewery in the Monterey Doubletree Hotel.
The 17th annual Collector T-shirt is a special-edition, five-color co-op shirt. The T-shirt will feature an original PIE 2003 design with participating exhibitor's logos prominently displayed. The T-shirts will be given to all paid attendees registered for classes, and will be sold at the show for a small fee. There will be three days of seminars in eight classrooms covering all aspects of pool and spas. The pre-registration fee is $60, or a $75 fee is charged on-site. This fee covers all three days of classes. Some classes will be given in Korean and Spanish.
Special Events
A golf tournament will be held on Wednesday, March 24, at the Cascade Golf Course in Sylmar, Calif. The greens fee is $125.
A putting contest will be held on Saturday, March 27, at 3 p.m. Prizes will be given away.
A design awards presentation and dinner party will be held at the Renaissance Hotel on Friday, March 26 from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The cost per person is $50.
Door prizes will be given away every hour throughout the entirety of the show's exhibit hours. A new truck will also be given away on Saturday, March 27, at 5:30 p.m. Participants must be present to win.

The Renaissance Hotel will be the Western Pool & Spa Show's host hotel. Rates were not available at press time.
