The Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) is hosting two learning opportunities for the month of January, including a free webinar on lifesaving systems in aquatic environments and an online Aquatic Venue Public Health Inspector (AVPHI) certification course.
The Chain of Swimvival: Lifesaving Lessons for Facilities will take place on January 15 at noon ET. Lance Timmons, project manager at Counsilman-Hunsaker, will present a framework connecting awareness, design, staffing, operations and long-term reinvestment to strengthen aquatic safety and public health outcomes. CMAHC Technical Director Dewey Case will host the online AVPHI course on January 19 at 8:30 a.m. CST. This eight-hour live program, typically only offered in person, equips participants to evaluate aquatic facilities using the CDC’s Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC).
