After 50+ years in business, Natare Pools has become a 100% employee-owned company. The change took effect June 30, 2025, after founder Michael Walsh sold his remaining shares of the company to its employees.

"At Natare, it's clear our people are the heartbeat of everything," says Troy L. Yoder, CEO of Natare Corporation. “By becoming 100% employee-owned, we are ensuring that every member of our team benefits directly from our collective achievements. This transition further empowers our employees, fosters a culture of shared success, and secures our legacy as an independent, people-focused organization.”

The company became a partial ESOP in 2022 when Walsh opted to begin the transfer of the company’s ownership to its employees rather than selling to another entity. He knew he had created something special and wanted it to carry on. Becoming 100% employee-owned makes that possible.

"Mike had options to sell for much more, but he chose us," Yoder reflects. "His choice is a testament to his faith in our team, and I'm deeply thankful for that. The path ahead is promising, and I'm eager to see what we can achieve. We've been given a tremendous opportunity, and it's now my responsibility to make sure we make the most of it."

Natare employees were notified of the change in July 2025 during a company-wide luncheon that doubled as a surprise celebration, with Walsh and his wife Linda in attendance. Walsh continues to serve as the executive chairman of the board for Natare.
