The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, is pleased to announce its first Center of Excellence Enterprise Partner: Azureon, one of the leading providers of pool care services across the Northeast.

PHTA’s Center of Excellence is an online, on-demand education hub that offers a comprehensive course curriculum for the pool, spa and hot tub industry. The Enterprise-grade training and credentialing solution is designed to support Azureon in developing Azureon Academy, which will advance the company’s workforce development and retention, standardize training quality and align educational outcomes across the company.

Azureon was established in 2024 to unite top-performing pool service companies across the Northeast region. Over the past 18 months, Azureon has grown to a family of 11 companies in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Maine, with continued plans to expand organically and via acquisition in adjacent states and regions.

“The Center of Excellence gives us a clear advantage as an organization,” says John Tisera, ceo at Azureon. “It allows us to improve our technician’s skills so that we provide the best customer experience in the industry. We will also centralize training from Service Titan, inventory controls, SamSara and technician stock procedures, all in one platform! Just as important, it supports internal SOPs and establishes a consistent onboarding across every Azureon company.”

Azureon’s Enterprise Partnership with PHTA’s Center of Excellence includes a three-year deal that provides the company the ability to manage employees’ education, onboarding and professional pathways across all companies, all in one place. This will allow managers to track educational progress and easily assess their employees’ knowledge, which can then be tied to compensation and promotions.

“We were impressed by the depth of the course catalog,” says Mike Todd, cido at Azureon, “which allows each organization to develop teams faster and create clear growth paths that keep great people in the organization.”

The Center of Excellence will provide Azureon access to over 150 on-demand courses in the first year, with 100 new courses being added to the curriculum in years two and three. In addition to the on-demand training, Azureon employees will also be able to attend live sessions and speak directly to their trainers through virtual office hours.

“As a growing company committed to employee training and career advancement, Azureon is the perfect partner for PHTA’s Center of Excellence,” says Sabeena Hickman, cae, president & ceo of PHTA. “PHTA’s education team has worked hand-in-hand with Azureon’s leadership to build an online education hub that will continue to meet the needs of their growing workforce. This is a wonderful model that we know other PHTA members will want to follow.”

Azureon also has the opportunity to customize its Center of Excellence curriculum with internal courses, safety information, and human resources (HR) courses from other vendors.

“PHTA is proud to partner with an industry leader like Azureon to create this customized educational resource,” says Dr. Adam Katchmarchi, PHTA vice president of educational development. “This is an exciting opportunity for PHTA to fill a much-needed gap that the pool, spa and hot tub industry has been experiencing in regard to workforce development and continuing education. We are looking forward to working closely with Azureon to deliver a robust curriculum that will help employees at every level.”
