The annual Pleatco Perfect Pool Guy/Gal Search 2020 is about to begin. The prizes, the honor, and distinction are bigger than ever this year, and there’s a twist at the end — the winners will be announced at a LIVE ONLINE EVENT in November hosted by AQUA Magazine and carried digitally to every corner of the industry.
Over the past decade, over 1,000 people have entered the contest and nearly 45,000 people have voted for the winners. Each year, the Pleatco Perfect PoolGuy/Gal Search™ has grown and continues to illuminate the strengths and passions of the pool service industry. Pleatco is proud to honor the men and women who work hard tirelessly each day to not only service pools and spas, but also help educate their customers. On August 17th, the contest opens and the search for service-pros who exemplify the best in pool and spa service in 2020 officially begins. Entries are accepted online at PLEATCO.COM.

In mid-September the nominations close, and the VOTING begins in earnest, as people both inside and outside the industry read the profiles and stories of great service providers, and vote for the candidate who comes closest to perfection.
In October, the 15 FINALISTS will be announced, and AQUA will be highlighting the stories of these backyard heroes and their work so readers can follow along and support their choice of candidate.
Early November, a LIVE WEBCAST will announce the final results and the winners of this year’s Search. Participating viewers will get to vote LIVE via SMS on a WILD CARD that may determine the final outcome. It will be fully interactive. The prize package for this year’s winners includes THE ULTIMATE $5,000 PERFECT POOL / SPA SERVICE PACKAGE that contains a truck decal makeover, new service equipment kit, great new tools, $500 phone card and $1500 Pleatco products. Both winners can select either the GENESIS C201: Concrete Pools or C260: Vinyl Liner / Fiberglass CONSTRUCTION Course ($5,000 value). All finalists will receive a special Certificate of Merit Award and ALL nominations receive a free "Legend" T-shirt.
In addition, courtesy of Pleatco and AQUA magazine, the grand prize winners receive an amazing nationwide advertising campaign in 2021 to help promote and grow their business. All winners gain entry into the legendary Pleatco PoolGuy /Gal Hall of Fame.
The main prize total package value of $10,000 for BOTH the major winners. That figure does not include the biggest prize of all — the glory of being the Pleatco Perfect Pool Guy or Pool Gal, which has a value beyond estimation.
