Fritts Returns to S.R.Smith in New Role

Brett Fritts is set to re-join S.R.Smith as the company's vice president and general manager of lighting and emerging markets. Previously, he served as vice president of marketing and business development for S.R.Smith from 2005 to 2012, and also as the vice president of product management for EID Passport, a high security identity management and access control company.

"Brett's knowledge of the pool industry and expertise in development of advanced technology products make him ideal for this new role," says Rich Laitta, CEO and president of S.R.Smith.

As his new title implies, Fritts will be responsible for driving strategic growth for the lighting category. "Lighting is a growing industry category and affords us the opportunity to grow our presence on more pools," Fritts says. His duties will also include focusing on international market development for S.R.Smith.

Pentair Commercial Aquatics was pleased to be a sponsor of the first ever California Interscholastic Federation Swimming and Diving competition that took place Memorial Day weekend at the Clovis Olympic Swim Complex at Clovis West High School in Clovis, California. In addition to providing financial support of this state-wide competition, Pentair Commercial Aquatics provided Clovis West High School with new customized back-plates for its starting platforms.

The new Pentair Paragon STS Starting block backplates are one of the latest innovations from Pentair Commercial, which allows Paragon starting blocks to be retrofitted with adjustable backplates that adjust from side-to-side for swimmer comfort and enhanced performance. These back-plates can be customized, as they were for this pool, with school logos and colors. "It was terrific to be a part of this statewide swimming event that brought together over 900 swimmers and divers from across the state to this huge meet," says Mike Fowler, commercial marketing manager for Pentair Commercial.
