While I found this to be a well written and informative article for the most part, I was surprised in the "POWER IN MOTION" section, there was no mention on the use of sweep fittings in lieu of standard 90 degree els. As you know, the use of sweep 90s can reduce the head pressure nearly in half while at the same time reducing friction in the system, therefore reducing energy consumption. I totally agree the larger pipe is one the keys, but use of sweep 90s with the larger pipe should be a no-brainer also.
