• Interbad 2012
Germany’s interbad 2012, an international trade show for the swimming pool, sauna and spa industries, will be held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre from Oct. 9-12, 2012.
Saunas will be an emphasis, with two German associations that represent the industry teaming to present the 64th Congress for Pool and Bath Technology.
“For decades saunas have been one of the three pillars on which interbad is based,” said Rolf-Andreas Pieper, managing director of the German Sauna Association. “This year the topic of saunas will be presented in an even more international way at interbad with special emphasis on Eastern European bath traditions.”
“Trade visitors and private investors wanting to obtain information about saunas cannot afford to miss interbad,” added Andreas Wiesinger, divisional director at Messe Stuttgart. “We offer one of the world’s most extensive programs in this respect.”
In addition to the talks on sauna trends, the number of foreign exhibitors is also increasing. In particular, Finland will be strongly represented with over 20 exhibitors.

• Piscine SPASH! Asia
Two international pool and spa trade show organizers have formed a partnership to host a new event for the industry in Asian. Piscine SPLASH! Asia will combine the efforts of the European organizer of Piscine and the organizer of the SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Show in Australia.
Piscine SPLASH! Asia will take place May 20-21, 2013, at Suntec International Convention Centre in Singapore. It will incorporate seminars and workshops and networking opportunities in addition to the trade show floor, which organizers estimate will include more than 100 exhibitors.
• WAVES Pool, Spa & Bath International Expo
The organizers of the WAVES Pool, Spa & Bath International Expo 2012 will present a Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) certification course for the first time in India. The two-day course, conducted by the National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF), provides training for efficient, economical and safe use of swimming pools and spas. Seats are limited.
