AQUA Magazine launches new Web site

Kirstin Pires After about five years of a serviceable but dated, we are very proud to launch the new and improved online home of AQUA Magazine. I've only had a few days to play around with it, but I already love our new Web site. I think you will, too.

The first thing you'll notice is the beautiful design that lets you know immediately you're in the right place. The look is elegant, simple and highly functional - things we strive for with the magazine every month. The site is not just pretty, though, it's engineered for business.

The biggest change at the site is with our archives. Our back issues are now in HTML format instead of PDF, so you don't have to download anything to read an article from a past issue. You can now perform a full-text search of our archived stories by keyword; previously only title, summary and category were searchable. The coolest feature of our new archive is the virtual magazine, though. You'll just have to try it. It's the closest thing to paging through a magazine I've ever seen online.

Our Buyers' Guide is perhaps the most comprehensive collection of industry players you can get your hands on, and now it's even more useful. The database behind the Buyers' Guide is now searchable and sortable through a very friendly interface. Once you find the companies you're looking for, you can contact them directly from their records in the Buyers' Guide.

As always, we hope you'll use the Web site as an easy way to be in touch with us. We've made it easier to send us story suggestions or submit a project you'd like to share. You'll be able to complete a large part of the entry process for the AQUA Choice and AQUA 100 competitions online this year, too.

I hope you enjoy the new Web site as much as I do. As always, we want to know what you think, so while you're exploring at, send me an e-mail with your impressions.
