The Global AquaTekture Visionary Awards, the official AquaTekture design competition, announces the winners of the 2012 competition. Produced by Three V Enterprises, a Las Vegas-based corporation, GAVA is an integrated world-wide competition open to design professionals of all genres dedicated to influencing and creating thought-provoking water creations. The sixty-six winners included projects from across the United States, Australia, and Mexico and South America.
Winners were announced at the annual GAVA Awards Reception on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nev. All GAVA winners will be included in the full-color book published by Schiffer Publishing due for release in early spring 2013. Three V Enterprises’ Board of Directors Joseph A. Vassallo, Mary Vail and Joseph M. Vassallo also announced the 2012 Inspire Award recipient, Vance Gillette, VP of Business Development Zodiac pool and spa systems. Masters of Ceremonies for the evening were GAVA Advisor Brett Abbott and GAVA Founder Joseph M. Vassallo. Special guest speaker was Rick Gray, Wynn Resorts General Manager of Entertainment Operations.
Finalist judges included Interior Designer Kassie Smith of Kassie Smith Lifestyle Design Group, Landscape Design Architect Jennifer Margison of Attanasio Landscape Architecture and Architect Nebiyou Tekle of LEED, AP, BPI, RESNET and Dakem & Associates, LLC, all of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The judges rated entries on their design and how their innovative applications surpass the boundaries of traditional water feature solutions.
