DiGiovanni named to NDPA Board of Directors
APSPβs Vice President, Technical & Standards Carvin DiGiovanni has been appointed to the board of directors for the National Drowning Prevention Alliance. His two year term begins July 1, 2015. NDPA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving lives through drowning prevention and water safety efforts. Its mission is to prevent drowning and aquatic injuries, by educating, leading, engaging, and supporting the public, our members, chapters, and partners. βWorking with the NDPA we want to raise a higher level of awareness of water safety with consumers while they are enjoying their pool or hot tub,β said DiGiovanni. βIndustry professionals can help protect consumers by working for adoption of the International Swimming Pool & Spa Code in their jurisdiction because it will afford the same level of safety protection to residential pools that the VGB gives to public pools.β
