In Memoriam: Allen Stauffer

Allen Charles Stauffer, a respected figure in the pool and spa industry, died September 13 after battling cancer. Born on May 15, 1969, in Scottsbluff, Neb., Stauffer dedicated 36 years to the industry, starting his career in 1988 at Bonsall Pool & Spa in Lincoln. He later owned FunWater Hot Tubs in Norfolk, Neb., with his first wife, Jacque, and in 2008, joined Combined Pool & Spa in Sioux Falls, S.D., where he became service manager.

Known for his vast knowledge and hands-on approach, Stauffer excelled in customer care, technical service and mentoring the next generation of technicians. His career was a testament to his dedication to helping customers and improving the industry he loved.

Stauffer is survived by his wife, Renee; sons, Riley and Kyle; grandson, Carter; and a loving extended family. A celebration of his life was held September 20, in Tea, S.D.
