In Remembrance of Robert Matthew "Matt" Markiton

MattobituaryRobert Matthew β€œMatt” Markiton was born on March 31, 1976 in Houston, Texas to Robert Irvine and Christine Ann Leder Markiton. He attended Lee High School and Blinn College. On June 7, 2003, he married Audrey Jackson in Spring, Texas.  Matt was in the hot tub business, both manufacturing and retail, for 25 years. He enjoyed music and old movies but best loved being outdoors, fishing and hunting, especially with his boys. An active member of the Katy community, Matt and his family were honored as Harvey Heroes for their efforts in rescuing and assisting their neighbors in Canyon Gate.  He worked hard at his business, loved his family and was known for his quirky, dry sense of humor.

Matt passed away, with family at his side, on Thursday, April 11, 2019 following a heart and double lung transplant at Stanford Medical Center, Palo Alto, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Markiton; sons, Robert Alexander Markiton (Alex) and Jacob Gustav Markiton; his parents, Robert and Christine Markiton; sister, Kathryn Scott and her husband Kelly and family; grandmother, Lola Leder; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at The Fellowship β€” Cinco Ranch Campus with Rev. Robert Jackman officiating. Interment in Fulshear Cemetery. The family respectfully asks in lieu of flowers, to consider a donation to HelpHopeLive.org β€” Markiton campaign to assist with medical expenses.
