Malina Breaux, president and CFO of Blackthorne Spas in Salinas, Calif., is joining the leadership team of the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA). Breaux will be serving on the Retailer’s Council.
"I'm excited to share my knowledge and years of experience on such an important platform," says Breaux. "The industry has provided for my family for almost 50 years. This is an excellent opportunity to give back."
The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance is the world’s oldest and largest association representing the swimming pool, spa and hot tub industry. Since 1983, PHTA has been serving members and the public with critical industry knowledge that ranges from sound regulatory practice to industry trends and consumer attitudes.
Breaux’s father Locksin Thompson founded Blackthorne in 1975. Locksin was very involved at the national level with what was then known as the “National Pool and Spas Institute." Learning, understanding and admiring Locksin’s works, Breaux feels now is the time to travel that path.
