The "Talking Pools" Podcast is proud to announce its newest weekly host: Sarah Bero, better known online as @SarahThePoolGirl.
Based in Texas and beloved for her unfiltered takes, poolside stories, and no-nonsense water wisdom, Sarah joins the "Talking Pools" family as the official voice of Wednesdays. With over 20,000 followers on TikTok, Sarah has carved out her own niche in the service world, blending honest pool care insights with laugh-out-loud storytelling — and now, she’s bringing that same energy to podcasting.
“This is really awesome,” Sarah said in her debut episode. “I never thought I’d have an opportunity like this, but here we are — and I’m gonna be talking to y’all about pools.”
And talk she does — about everything from brushing techniques and vacuum bag micron ratings to pulling dead rabbits and live turtles out of skimmer baskets. Her show, equal parts instruction and ‘what the hell just happened,’ delivers the kind of real-world perspective only someone who’s actually been down a hatch in a commercial pump room could offer. (Yes, that happened. No, she’s not going back.)
Sarah’s journey into the pool industry started humbly — as a helper riding shotgun with her now-husband Andrew at a small mom-and-pop company. Since then, she’s battled deck jets, wrangled commercial equipment, hauled eight-cartridge Hayward filters, and turned heads (and pools) across Central Texas. She currently maintains a residential route of over 50 pools per week, and somehow still has the energy to make hilarious stickers, bring treats to the shop, and rant about worms on TikTok.
“Customers love her. Once she’s cleaned a pool, I can’t send anyone else. She’s that good,” says her current supervisor. “Plus, have you seen her stickers? Pool girl silhouette with a pole — it’s badass branding.”
Her podcast episodes are packed with field-tested advice, product hot takes (hint: she’s begging for a 25-micron vacuum bag), and messages that resonate deeply with service pros and pool owners alike. She’s also the proud parent of a hamster named pH 7.5, who makes occasional guest appearances.
Whether she’s advocating for liquid chlorine to avoid calcium creep, or issuing public service announcements begging homeowners not to dump 50 pounds of soda ash all into one spot into their pools (“Yes, that actually happened”), Sarah brings clarity, charisma, and chlorine-scented charm to every mic drop.
“You want to know how I empty a Riptide bag without taking it off? Go to my TikTok,” Sarah says with a laugh. “We’re all about working smart, not hard.”
Find the show on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, ListenNotes, or wherever you stream your audio entertainment. New episodes drop daily — because pool life doesn't take a day off.
Wednesdays now belong to Sarah "The Pool Girl" Bero. Buckle up.
