David Collier joins POOLCORP as the vice president of operations and supply chain, reporting directly to POOLCORP President and CEO Pete Arvan. David will be responsible for leading the operations and logistics teams as well as the CSLs. He will also be taking over leadership of sourcing from Dave Cook who has successfully led that function for the past several years. Reporting to David will be Mark Alvarez, senior director of operations; Ernesto Salas, senior director of global sourcing; Eddie Candilora, director of logistics and Roger Moore, regional CSL manager.
David brings a new and different level of distribution expertise to the team since he combines both managerial experience and cross-functional collaboration. David’s experience also includes efficiency and process improvement solutions, which will serve the company well as they look to modernize their warehousing, logistics and internet sales processes.
David comes to POOLCORP from Arrow Electronics, a $30 billion international distributor of electronic components, where he was global vice president for supply chain, global operations & services. His tenure there resulted in multiple year-over-year records in service improvement and cost reductions through investments in people, processes and innovation. Prior to Arrow, David’s career included McMaster-Carr Supply, Scott Madden, Inc., Capgemini, General Parts, Inc. and MSC Industrial Supply.
David will be based at POOLCORP’s support office in Covington, La., and he will also be spending a great deal of time in the field, visiting locations and developing an understanding of what POOLCORP does and how they do it. Welcome to POOLCORP, David!
