Zodiac Expands Annual Campaign for Brick-and-Mortar Stores

In order to drive more traffic to pool retailers, Zodiac Pool Systems is expanding its annual Zodiac Days and Polaris Days events with new offerings, including additional national and local marketing and special programs. 

“Introducing new features to our Zodiac Days and Polaris Days event support is part of our continuing investment in the pool supply dealer,” says Scott Frost, vice president of sales at Zodiac. “We recognize the competitiveness of the marketplace, so providing broad advertising campaigns, targeted marketing tools and special value to the dealer is a priority.”

Local dealers are encouraged to run up to two Zodiac or Polaris Days per year, for up to four days each event. Retailers who sign up for the events will receive 500 free, professionally designed postcards with postage included to promote the events to their customer and prospect databases.

In addition, participating dealers will receive social media sharing tools, video widgets, mobile ads and prominent listings on Zodiac and Polaris “Find an Event Now” web pages, as well as free giveaways and a merchandising kit that includes brochures, window posters, tent cards, yard signs, balloons, squirt guns and carabiners, among other items. Free premium product displays are also available while supplies last.

New to this year’s events is a bonus Genuine Parts Program exclusively for Preferred Professional Provider members. In addition, an all-new Bullseye Consumer Rebate Program supports brick and mortar dealers by paying rebates to consumers only on products purchased at or above LAAP pricing. 

Zodiac Days and Polaris Days events run April 1 through Labor Day weekend.

DeltaUV hires Vessiere for Canadian Sales

DeltaUV is pleased to announce it has hired Thomas Vessiere (pictured left) to the position of Canada sales manager for the company. In his new role, Vessiere is now responsible for all residential and commercial sales of UV products throughout Canada.Vessiere joins the Company after working for Delta UV’s French parent-company, Bio-UV. Mr. 

Pool Service Company Starts Franchising 

Probity Pools, a pool maintenance/repair/renovation company, is set to franchise throughout the state of Florida. 

“The pool service industry is fragmented, which has resulted in an inconsistent level of service,” says Kevin Baron, company founder. “We have been countering this trend by utilizing a uniform approach, with top-tier customer service to the customers in our market. Now, we are ready to grow our brand throughout the state of Florida.”

While the franchise program, developed with the help of the Chicago-based iFranchise Group and HLK, PC, will initially roll out in Florida, national expansion will soon follow.

Watkins Manufacturing hosted nearly 300 participants in an all-expenses-paid trip to Costa Rica. While there, Watkins dealers and their guests had an opportunity to give back to the local community by participating in the Watkins Bike Building Bonanza, in which 83 children’s bicycles were assembled and donated to the Escuela Santa Rosa located in the nearby town of Tamarindo.

Kids from the school also joined in the fun and helped decorate their new bikes. Guests participated in a variety of activities throughout the week, including zip lining through the rainforest, hiking in the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, deep sea fishing and spotting indigenous animals while boating through the Palo Verde National Park.

“We are delighted to share this Costa Rica experience with our dealer family to thank them for their amazing accomplishments in 2014,” says Mike Dunn, executive vice president of Watkins. “They did an outstanding job, and we are grateful for their efforts.”
