Piscine, the international spa and private swimming pool show, is set to open exhibits Nov. 13 – 16 in Lyon, France. Boasting 1,000 brands of equipment and services for pools and spas, Piscine 2012 offers industry pros a chance to try new products, rub elbows with industry leaders and feel like a Francophile for a few days.
New to Piscine this year is the Pool Vision Competition, an international architecture and interior design competition hosted in collaboration with Archi-Europe. With a global scope, the vision of the competition was to find the best technical and aesthetic examples of modern pool design to create a worldwide overview of pool construction trends. The winning projects will be on display at Piscine 2012, but you can also see them at this link.
At the heart of the exhibition is The Living Pool, a display of products dedicated to pool surroundings. Drop by and take in the sights of the latest flooring, furniture, equipment and lighting.
Piscine will also bestow awards upon the latest innovations in four categories: The Top 100 (technological innovation), Top Premium (worldwide launch), Pool Eco Attitude (sustainable development) and Pool Vision (world trends). Awards will be passed out on the evening of Nov. 13.
For the first time ever at an exhibition, the Piscine Water Test area allows convention-goers to discover new products in real-life conditions with in-pool demonstrations and technical training provided by manufacturers. Participating exhibitors include Hayward, AstralPool, Albixon and Zodiac.
Finally, running concurrently with Piscine through Nov. 15 is the Aqualie exhibit, a 3-day exhibition devoted to the field of water leisure and health.
Piscine 2012 will take place Nov. 13 – 16 at Eurexpo Lyon in Lyon, France. For more information, visit their website.
