The Ideal Cover Enclosure, which has found success in the European market, is designed to function as an enclosure for residential swimming pools, while providing the benefits of traditional safety covers.
“We’ve been looking for something that would offer homeowners the best of both worlds,” says Maryellen Comitino, global accounts director, LOOP-LOC.
Simplicity is the key, she adds. “It’s manually operated, so there’s no mechanism or gears like you have with an automatic cover, and it covers the pool beautifully in the back yard.
“You can open it from either end, you can open it from the middle, you can telescope it all the way down to the end of your pool. It’s another option for homeowners who want something that provides safety but also extends the swimming season.”
As an enclosure, the product also protects the pool water from heat loss due to excessive evaporation and wind, as well as debris, rain and other atmospheric pool intruders, which consume pool chemicals and contribute to water problems.
“It’s very easy to install, and it’s simple to access the pool,” Comitino says. “The panels are self-locking, so all you have to do is lift up the lock on either side of the enclosure and slide it back. It’s the perfect addition to our product line.”
