The old world practice of soaking in mineral pools for your health is becoming popular again.
For centuries, in Europe, people would journey to soak in the mineral waters of Baden-Baden or Bath secure in the belief that the natural properties of the hot spring water would cure ailments or improve the health of even a fit person. That idea is finding a modern-day resurgence.
WorldSprings, which provides a large-scale mineral springs experience, just opened its second location, this one in Colony, Texas, 20 minutes outside of Dallas. Debuting as the first outdoor mineral springs immersive experience in Texas and the largest of its kind in the United States, WorldSprings will have 46 outdoor soaking pools, eight saunas, a 12-room first-class spa facility, a premier food and beverage program and more.
The mineral soaking pools are inspired by the world's most famous hot springs — such as Jordan's Dead Sea, Iceland's Blue Lagoon and Mexico's Grutas Tolantongo, all once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list destinations. The pools are meticulously formulated with minerals and range from hot to cold temperatures in order to bring the restorative soaking benefits all to one place.
