PiscinaSpain, the new biennial event dedicated to promoting digitalization and water management in the pool and spa sector, presented the novelties of its first edition, which will take place from October 8-10 at FYCMA-Málaga, Spain. At a time of big challenges for the pool sector driven by digitalization, pool renovation and the search for solutions to address the water deficit, PiscinaSpain is emerging as the leading fair for the pool sector in Spain in 2024.
"The first half of 2024 has been very positive for the pool sector, with a 23% growth in the volume of pools installed. Despite water usage restrictions due to drought in several areas of Spain, more installations have been delivered this first half of the year compared to a year ago, continuing the positive trend in the sector," highlights José Jonás, director of PiscinaSpain.
The first edition of PiscinaSpain is expected to bring together over 7,000 professionals from the construction sector, such as developers, installers, builders, architects as well as hoteliers and municipal entities, who will attend in search of industrial and technological partners to help them meet their needs in the design, purchase, construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of private, community and public pools, spas, wellness centers and outdoor spaces.
All of them will have the opportunity to discover more than 300 innovations in pools, spa equipment, components, services and products, as well as technologies and solutions for energy efficiency and water management that will be presented by more than 140 exhibiting firms, including Baeza, Disarp, Drizoro, Estil Guru, Freedom Pools Europe, Gruppo Bardelli, Grupo Puma, Hipoclorito Tejar Viejo, Mariner 3S España, Passion Spa, Piscinas Disersan, Poolins, Poolone, Saneamientos Dimasa, SAS Prefabricados de Hormigón, Schluter Systems, Techno Jet Hidro System, Thomas Wellness, Topcret Artisancret Design, and Visendum, among many others.
Pool & Aquatech Congress: Where The Future of The Sector is Debated
As part of PiscinaSpain, the Pool & Aquatech Congress will be held, where more than 160 experts will discuss some of the industry's burning challenges: the fusion between manufacturer and distributor in the pool sector, the current debate on the impact of pools on the water deficit, or the therapeutic benefits of spas and wellness areas.
"It is a highly attractive congress where demand-side professionals will take the stage to explain their success stories. It will be a space for debate where we will analyze where the future of the sector is headed and how to adapt to the new needs of the current context, focusing on sustainability and industrialization as factors of competitiveness. Additionally, we will also focus on improving the experience in pools, water parks, spas, and wellness areas and moving towards smart pools," says Pere Giribets, director of the Pool & Aquatech Congress.
Furthermore, topics such as the application of technologies to improve energy efficiency in the pool sector, alternative solutions in water management such as saltwater pools or the use of rainwater, as well as new sustainable materials for the creation of ecological pools will also be addressed.
All of this will take place in three simultaneous auditoriums that will host different agendas for each professional profile (architects, designers, developers, builders, manufacturers, engineers, installers, as well as CEOs and executives of sports clubs, water parks, municipal facilities, and hotels, resorts, and campsites) and three industrial forums focused on Aquatech, Technology and Innovation, and Spa & Wellness.
Additionally, PiscinaSpain will also host various parallel activities to promote networking, which will lead to the creation of future transformative projects, such as the Aquatech Startup Forum, a space for startups with the most innovative solutions in the Aquatech sector to present their ideas, the Leadership Summit Lunch, a lunch with the main CEOs and executives in the sector; or the Aquatech Innovation Awards 2024, which will reward innovation in new materials, components, automation, and furniture for pools and spas, as well as pool and/or spa installations in hotels, residential developments, water parks, or campsites and municipal facilities that stand out for their avant-garde and innovative design, their ability to provide unique experiences, and their contribution to well-being and health.
