Bullfrog Spas is celebrating its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of product innovation, business growth and commitment to improving the spa ownership experience.
The company was founded in 1996 after Dave Ludlow identified recurring service problems caused by traditional hot tub construction. His effort to create a simpler, more reliable design led to the patented JetPak Therapy System, which uses removable, interchangeable jetted seat backs to provide personalized massage options while reducing internal plumbing.

Bullfrog Spas introduced its first hot tubs featuring JetPaks in 1997. Since then, the company has expanded its product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities and dealer network across North America and international markets.
Major milestones include the opening of a manufacturing facility in Bluffdale, Utah, in 2003; the launch of its Power Per Square Foot dealer support program in 2017; and the opening of a 286,000-square-foot headquarters in Herriman, Utah, in 2020. The company has also introduced several product lines, including the M Series, Swim Series and a redesigned A Series.
Bullfrog Spas credits its employees, dealer partners, suppliers and customers for helping shape the company’s growth.

“Families and individuals everywhere are seeking ways to connect more meaningfully,” says CEO Dan Sjoblom. “We remain committed to our mission to Create Peaceful Lives and are grateful for the incredible work our team and dealer partners have done to bring that peace to families in backyards around the world.”
Looking ahead, Bullfrog Spas plans to continue investing in personalized therapy, durable engineering, energy efficiency, design, simplified water care and dealer support.
