LOOP-LOC, a manufacturer of high-quality safety swimming pool covers and in-ground vinyl pool liners, is pleased to announce that it has won a 1st place Golden Cylinder award from the Gravure Association of the Americas for the Bella Vista vinyl pool liner pattern and process.

The Bella Vista Luxury Liner features a repeating mosaic pattern that appears startlingly real, and is the premier entry in LOOP-LOC's new Boutique Collection. This pattern was a collaboration between Dominika Marcisz, design manager at Canadian General Tower, and LeeAnn Donaton-Pesta, president and CEO of LOOP-LOC.

Companies from across the country submitted their best designs. After two days of tough scrutiny and deliberation by a panel of judges, Bella Vista from LOOP-LOC & CGT was selected as the 1st place award winner in the product category: Gravure quality execution & design of graphics.

LOOP-LOC accepted the award at the GAA Technical Forum in Charlotte, N.C., on September 18.

RB Control Systems Hires Pool Industry Veteran

RB Control Systems has hired pool industry veteran Robert Goffinet (left) as the company's new lead sales representative. 

Robert started as a pool cleaner in 1980 in California, worked his way to service coordinator in Virginia Beach, and then pool service manager and sales representative in Pittsburgh. He worked in the pool distribution arena for nine years and joined the RB team to continue assisting pool and spa dealers operate a better business.  

Premier Pools Appoints Joe Trusty as Director of Internet Technology

In a move designed to propel its online presence, Premier Pools Management Corp, franchisor of Premier Pools and Spas, has hired a new director of Internet technology. In his new position, Joe Trusty will lead PPMC's internet marketing team to establish new marketing platforms and maintain internal and external marketing systems including the public-facing website, internal CRM and e-commerce. Trusty will report directly to PPMC’s president/CEO, Paul Porter. 

“This is an immensely important position in our company,” Porter says. “Our commodity is a big investment for our potential customers and they do a lot of internet research before deciding to call someone into their home to bid on their project. Buyers need to find us on the Internet quickly on their laptops and mobile devices and we have a short amount of time to convince them that we are the company that they should do business with.”

Before joining PPMC, Trusty held management and development positions at,, and IHOUSEweb. "I'm excited to join the Premier team and look forward to implementing new strategies on the Internet to help propel our business,” Trusty says.

DeltaUV Golfs with Aquiform for Children’s Hospital

DeltaUV, manufacturers of aquatic ultraviolet water treatment products for pools and spas, joined up with Aquiform in Surrey, BC, Canada, for its annual golf invitational to raise money for the British Columbia’s Children’s Hospital.

Delta UV sponsored one of the golf holes and all proceeds from the event went primarily to the B.C Children’s Hospital, with a small portion also going to the BC Golf Museum. 

“It was great to join our partners in Canada to raise money for this worthy cause, and we had fun too,” says Jeff Boynton, sales and marketing manager at Delta UV USA. 

SeaKlear Expands Sales Reach on East and West Coasts

SeaKlear, a division of HaloSource that develops specialty chemicals for pools and spas, is pleased to announce the expansion of its sales team in North America with agreements signed with the following sales agencies; Byrd Moreton Sales Associates in Florida, Atlantic Sales Connection in the Northeast, Senne Sales in the South East and Blake Sales in the West.

Each agency, together with SeaKlear’s in-house sales team, will provide additional resources and focus on bringing SeaKlear’s products to consumers across North America in partnership with key pool and spa distributors and retailers.
