Hayward Lands New Marketing Leader
Hayward Industries has hired David MacNair as its new vice president of marketing. In the position, MacNair will manage the global brand and oversee the company’s marketing initiatives with its dealer network and trade partners.
MacNair has more than 25 years of progressive marketing leadership experience in various marketing channels, including his most recent role as vice president of global marketing and strategic development for InSinkErator, a division of Emerson Electric Company. He has also spent time at Sunbeam Corporation and Polaroid Corporation.
“David understands the importance of building Hayward’s global brand and also recognizes the great importance we place on supporting and building our relationships with our dealers and key trade partners,” said Clark Hale, president of Hayward Industries. “We are thrilled to have someone with his proven track record in both trade and consumer channel marketing on our team. He’s going to fit in very well here at Hayward.”
POOLCORP Goes Down Under
Pool Corporation announced it is expanding its global presence into Australia. In a multi-faceted deal, POOLCORP purchased a majority interest in Pool Systems Pty. Ltd. (Pool Systems), a Brisbane-based distributor of swimming pool and spa equipment, accessories and leisure products throughout Australia. As part of this transaction, Pool Systems acquired Niagara Pool Supplies (Niagara), a Sydney-based distributor of pool products.

Niagara is a longstanding distributor of pool products in New South Wales and its distribution relationships will be a key to our success in this new venture. This is a chance for us to pursue the opportunity to provide value as a value-add distributor and build a network to serve professional trade and retail customers.”
Inter-Fab Unveils Video LibraryInter-Fab is pleased to offer a complete library of installation and training videos for pool professionals.
In addition to installation videos of all their products, Inter-Fab's video library also offers helpful useful technical tutorials, such as changing out rails, waterfall scribing and a water "stub up" installation.
“We created these videos in response to requests from customers who were looking for instruction for themselves and to train their employees on the best methods for installing diving boards, slides, rails and waterfalls,” says Keith Month, national sales director for the company.

Big Changes at Anthony & Sylvan Pools
The Board of Directors of Anthony & Sylvan Pools Corporation announced that Stuart D. Neidus will retire as the company’s CEO, effective August 31. Taking his place is Mark Koide, who has served as Anthony & Sylvan’s vice president of marketing since last year.
“After 17 years as CEO, I will truly miss the wonderful people throughout this organization,” Neidus said. “But I know that Mark and the A&S management team will continue to build on the strong foundation we have laid and upon A&S’s industry leading position.”
While Neidus is retiring from his position, he will remain on the board of directors.
Spec Chem Launches New Website
Spec Chem Direct, the chemical manufacturer dedicated to selling its products exclusively direct to brick and mortar dealers, has launched a new website to help its expanding dealer base be more competitive in the marketplace.
