New Leadership at Cal Spas

Cal Spas has grown their team with the addition of Galvin Bartlett as the organizationโ€™s new spa division general manager and Ted Helgert as the organizationโ€™s new operations manager.

Bartlettโ€™s tenure in the spa manufacturing business began more than 35 years ago. He, along with two other owners, introduced Sundance Spas to the pool and spa industry in 1978. During their 21-year ownership, Bartlett was instrumental in acquiring new dealer accounts and product design.

Bartlett joined Cal Spas earlier this year. In his new role, Bartlett is responsible for all aspects of Cal Spasโ€™ product development as well as dealer and vendor relationships.

โ€œI'm excited to be on board with Cal Spas,โ€ Bartlett says. โ€œCal Spas has a nucleus of industry veterans that are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and to building great spas for our dealers.โ€

As the new operations manager, Helgert will be responsible for optimizing Cal Spasโ€™ manufacturing operations and quality assurance results. He brings more than 20 years of spa manufacturing experience to the job from his tenure at Sundance Spas and L.A. Spas. For the last seven years, he served as the vice president of operations for Therm Products. He entered the spa business management in 1993.

โ€œI am excited about this role with Cal Spas,โ€ Helgert says. โ€œI look forward to working with and leading my team of peers into the already bright and positive future of Cal Spas. Together we will focus on setting the bar for the development of our products and processes while providing a rich and fulfilling work environment for our Cal Spas family of employees and dealer base.โ€

DeltaUV Corporate Headquarters in France Moves to New Location

DeltaUVโ€™s parent company, Bio-UV, has moved its office and manufacturing facility to a new, expanded facility in Lunel, France. Delta UV is the U.S. manufacturing division that makes all the residential pool, spa, and pond units for the Bio-UV Group.

As demand for UV water treatment continues to grow, so too did Bio-UV's need to expand. The new building has tripled the companyโ€™s production area, expanded the laboratory space and offers additional office space for personnel.

โ€œWe are very pleased to have a new, larger operation in France to support our business growth throughout the world, in particular the growth of pool and spa water treatment product sales in the  Americas by our Delta UV operation,โ€ says Benoit Gillman, President of Bio-UV.

Pen Fabricators Moves to New Facility

Pen Fabricators, manufacturer of in-ground and aboveground vinyl swimming pool liners and winter covers, has moved to a new, larger, more modern facility in York, Pa.

The move was precipitated by a desire to consolidate the Wexco business operations of Pen Fabricators, Fabcote and Fox Pools, under one roof. As a result of the move, Pen Fabricators, as well as the other manufacturing operations, are now enjoying the efficiencies of vertical integration โ€” from package pools, liners, covers, steps and rail goods, dealers and distributors can now get all these products from one location, and faster than before.

โ€œThis move has been extremely successful,โ€ notes Clark Wherley, General Manager of Pen Fabricators.  โ€œOur customers have already benefited from the move this season with faster shipping times and consolidated freight costs.โ€

The new address for Pen Fabricators is: 3490 Board Road, Suite B, York PA or call directly: (800) 359-5350.
