Feedback: Poor Example

I don’t know if you have seen the Wal-Mart TV ad showing the Dad jumping into the aboveground pool or not, but this is exactly the wrong kind of ad and advice that we pool professionals want swimmers to see.

  1. Most manufacturers instructions and labels on the sidewalls of the pool say “NO DIVING.”
  2. Diving into shallow pools can cause horrific damage to swimmers.
  3. The ads are completely irresponsible and are contrary to safety messages of the pool industry.
