World Aquatic Health Conference organizers made two big announcements lately: first, the conference is slated for October 16 to 18 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis, Ind. Second, Deborah Phelps is scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation to mark the 10th anniversary of the event.

Phelps, an educator and author of the book, A Mother for All Seasons, is also America’s most well-known “Swim Mom.” In her career as a motivational speaker, she address a range of topics related to education, child development and life lessons. Phelps is currently the Director of the Education Foundation of the Baltimore County Public Schools and has earned significant honors for her business and community work.

The World Aquatic Health Conference will once again be hosted by the National Swimming Pool Foundation and the Aquatic Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. The Aquatic Physical Therapy Section will hold their Aquatic Summit in conjunction with the WAHC. Pre and post conference events will be announced and several leadership meetings are planned during the same week.
