Feedback: What We Really Sell

We spend all of our time trying to sell, build, service and maintain swimming pools and we forget the sheer pleasure of owning a pool and swimming itself. We all sell pools based on their technical and physical aspects, and forget about the most important aspects: exercise, relaxation, the peaceful atmosphere, and most importantly, watching our children enjoy the pool and grow, having our family together. I am fortunate that all my children live in close proximity, so we get to spend time visiting, cooking out, having birthday parties, etc. — all by our pool. As pool professionals and business owners, we all need to remember what our end product is. Not a bunch of pipe, rebar and concrete. It is the joy of providing a beautiful, well-constructed product for our customer, their family and friends to enjoy for years to come.
