The Northeast Spa & Pool Association has named the winners for the 2012 Awards of Excellence – Honoring Our Peers Awards Program. With a new name for the program and revised categories and judging criteria, this year's awards program reflected a revitalized effort to represent today's pool and spa industry.
“Significant changes were made to the awards program this year to better reflect and recognize the fantastic work that our members do,” says Bob Blanda, President of NESPA. “The competition this year was incredibly strong. Year after year we are wowed by the incredible projects our members complete and the exceptional service they provide to their customers.”
The Award of Excellence Builders Competition recognizes NESPA members whose pools, spa, hot tub and water feature installations represent the best the industry has to offer. The Awards of Excellence Service Competition recognizes NESPA members who exemplify the best in customer service and customer relations. This year marked a record 57 companies and 200 submissions between the two competitions, indicating the industry is beginning to recover from the recession.
Special recognition was awarded to the Judge’s Choice Best of Competition Award Winner: Elite Landscaping of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. This award is presented to a company based on its entire build process and body of completed work.
Also new this year was the People’s Choice Award, which was presented to Crystal Pool & Spa of East Hanover, N.J. The award was voted on by NESPA members in attendance at the Award Celebration on October 19th in Atlantic City.
