NOW, THEREFORE, We, the Mayor and Members of Las Vegas City Council, proudly proclaim May 2024 as
Float Like A Duck and National Water Safety Month
In the City of Las Vegas and ask all residents and visitors to join us in recognizing Float Like a Duck for all it does for our community.
Founded in 2003 by Paragon Pools’ President Joseph M. Vassallo as part of the company’s philanthropic endeavors, Float Like A Duck continues its efforts to share the importance of water safety with a mission of educating the public on the importance of safety while celebrating the joys of water sports.
“The City of Las Vegas has been a longtime Water Safety Partner with the Float Like A Duck initiative, joining our cause from its inception and hosting the inaugural event at the City’s Municipal Pool,” states Vassallo. “The collaboration of our efforts over the years help to ensure that residents and visitors have the proper tools and awareness to enjoy all the aquatic activities available in the community.”
