The Director of Business Development & Fundraising is a strategic leadership role responsible for generating revenue through fundraising, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors, and expanding CMAHC’s financial and organizational impact. This role works closely with the board, leadership team, and program staff to align fundraising strategies with CMAHC’s mission and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute CMAHC’s annual fundraising strategy, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and campaigns.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit new and existing donors to support CMAHC’s programs and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with board members, community leaders, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports to communicate impact and demonstrate donor stewardship.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure fundraising efforts align with organizational strategy.
- Track, report, and analyze fundraising metrics to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Represent CMAHC at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Provide guidance and support to board members in donor relations and fundraising efforts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven success in nonprofit fundraising, business or leadership development.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a track record of securing major gifts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proposal, grant writing and presentation expertise.
- Knowledge of nonprofit development strategies, donor management systems, and best practices.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans and meet revenue goals.
- Collaborative, flexible, and able to work across internal teams and with external stakeholders.
- Experience in aquatics, sports, wellness, or education nonprofits is a plus.
