AIS Water Receives Climate Care Certification

Australia’s leading manufacturer of chlorine generators for swimming pools, AIS Water, has received the prestigious Climate Care certification for its range of AutoChlor and EcoLine commercial pool chlorinators. The recognition demonstrates that AIS’ award winning, inline chlorine generation technology via electrolysis saves commercial pool operators time, money, energy and most importantly, water while keeping pool water safe, clear and clean.

The Climate Care Certification Program is an initiative of the pool and spa industry’s peak national body, SPASA (Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia Ltd). Upon satisfying the criteria, the certification can apply to any product, system, installation or construction used for swimming pools or spas which employs:

  • Water efficiency/sustainability
  • Energy efficiency
  • Noise reduction measures
  • Environmentally sustainable design
  • Efficiency/sustainability innovations

CEO of AIS Water, Elena Gosse welcomed the move by SPASA to provide more transparency and accountability in the pool and spa industry

“This is a big step for our industry as it will help pool operators to select the most advanced and sustainable technology while eliminating the cowboy companies, Elena says.

“Independent university research shows that in just one 50-meter pool, our technology can save 1.6 million liters of water annually when compared to conventional liquid or granular chlorine dosing, and $40,000 AUD in water rates annually. In a city with 100, 50-meter pools that equates to over 160 million liters of water or $4 million per annum.

“We have so many satisfied customers including FINA Standard pools, school pools, municipal pools and resort and hotel pools who are already reaping the benefits of our simpler, safer technology.
