Exciting news comes from the National Plasterers Council! If you are a member of the NPC and have a child about to attend or currently enrolled in a college or trade school, they may be eligible for the Rey Perales Memorial Scholarship offered by the Council.
The Rey Perales Memorial Scholarship is awarded based on three factors of the application: academic achievement, a student-researched essay, and letters of reference.
To be eligible, applicants must be a legal child of an employee of a Member Company in good standing of the National Plasterers Council, and must be at least a senior in high school, but no more than a junior in college. Those enrolled in a Masters Program are still eligible to apply.
The dollar amount of the scholarships and the number of winners will be determined by the Scholarship Committee, depending on the available funds each year. The possible scholarship amounts can range from anywhere between $500 and $5,000.
The deadline for applications is on December 15, 2024 in order to be considered for the upcoming academic year. Those who are awarded the scholarships will be notified no later than February 1, 2025.
