Jack's Magic The Filter Fiber Stuff has been certified as a Gold Seal product by the Water Quality Association, giving its green credentials a boost, according to the company.
The WQA is a not-for-profit international association of manufacturers, distributors and dealers of water treatment systems for household, commercial, and industrial applications. The Filter Fiber Stuff has been tested and passed stringent industry standards to become certified by the Water Quality Association.
Evosus Business Management Software has hired two support specialists to assist customers with the implementation of its software.
Lindsey Heyntsen has been hired to the position of Support Specialist for Evosus. Heyntsen's strong customer service and leadership background will be a valuable asset to the team, the company says.
Kimberly Marcy has been hired to the position of Training Specialist. Marcy will be responsible for providing comprehensive instructional services to Evosus clients using a variety of methods including video, documentation and one-on-one training.
Plastimayd, LLC has promoted Mike Preuit national sales manager for the CoverLogix brand of safety covers. Preuit has worked at Plastimayd since 1998 where he started in the position of inside sales and customer service, and has been working as the company's outside sales manager for the western region since 2000.
Preuit is being replaced by Loren Harris, who is taking over the position of western sales manager for the company. Harris has been in the pool and spa industry for over 21 years — in service, construction and for the last 11 years in distribution with Leisure Supply Company. He will be responsible for selling, promoting and servicing the Plastimayd, VynAll and CoverLogix brands to dealers and distributors in 11 western states and British Columbia.

The fully re-designed website allows distributors, dealers and pool owners to more easily navigate and find valuable information as it relates to the pool and spa industry in general, and Filbur specifically, the company says. A new Filter Finder search tool enables users to search for a particular cartridge by dimension, part number or manufacturer. Visitors will also find quick links to products, a What's New section, catalog and more.
Patriot Pool and Spa of Round Rock, Texas, is among the top 100 companies named to the 2011 Aggie 100 honoring the fastest-growing companies in the world, owned or operated by Texas A&M University former students. Patriot Pool and Spa was recognized as number 91 on the list with a growth rate of 14.55%. The Aggie 100 honors graduates from across disciplines and is a program created by the Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship in Texas A&M University's Mays Business School.
