Hot Tub and a Movie

Hot Tub Cinema

Gone are the days of the drive-in movie, but how about the hot tub movie? Across the pond in England is Hot Tub Cinema, an unconventional movie experience that gives attendees the chance to watch their favorite flicks from the warm waters of a portable hot tub.

Taking place on the rooftop of Netil360 in East London (and, in colder weather, a warehouse space in Shoreditch), moviegoers are “seated” in Lay-Z-Spa hot tubs. While the film genre is announced during ticket sales, the films in question are kept secret until the projector starts rolling. In the past, screenings have included Anchorman, Top Gun, Beetlejuice, Gremlins and Home Alone, among others.
