Zodiac Adds Programs to Bolster Brick-and-Mortar Sales

Zodiac Pool Systems is introducing several new programs for the 2015 pool season designed to drive sales for brick-and-mortar retailers and service professionals. The programs include a revised consumer rebate program, an extended warranty on select cleaners, and enhanced support for Zodiac and Polaris Days events, supported by national consumer ad campaigns.

The 2015 consumer rebate program was adjusted for a new Bullseye requirement. Rebates are now paid to consumers when items are purchased at or above the manufacturer’s lowest acceptable advertised price on select Polaris and Zodiac automatic pool cleaners, the company says. 

The rebates will apply to select suction and pressure cleaners, including the Zodiac MX8 and ZodiacT5Duo as well as the Polaris 3900 Sport, Polaris 380, Polaris 360, Polaris 360 Black Max, and trade exclusives including the P955 robotic, P945 robotic, and P39 pressure cleaner. Consumers can claim the rebates by mailing in the redemption certificate and the original UPC label from the product box. There is a limit of one rebate per transaction. Rebates range from $50 to $200 depending on the particular cleaner purchased. Rebates will be offered in-season, from April 1 through Labor Day, September 7, 2015. In its continuing effort to bolster automatic pool cleaner sales, Zodiac has also introduced a one-year free extended warranty for in-store purchases of select Polaris cleaners. The additional warranty coverage will extend the standard warranty term for three specific Polaris cleaners: the Polaris 9550 Sport robotic, the Polaris 9450 Sport robotic and the Polaris 3900 Sport pressure cleaner. The program requires consumer participation via a mail-in form to gain the additional year of coverage.

Zodiac Days and Polaris Days events are promoted by Zodiac with nationwide and local advertising to help brick-and-mortar retailers support the storefront sales events. Retailers who sign up for the events with at least 45 days advance notice will receive 500 free, professionally-designed postcards with postage included to promote the Zodiac and Polaris Days to their customer and prospect databases. They also receive easy social media sharing tools, video widgets, mobile ads, and prominent listings on Zodiac and Polaris “Find an Event Now” web pages, as well as free giveaways. Zodiac supplies dealers with a merchandising kit that includes brochures, window posters, tent cards, yard signs, balloons, squirt guns and carabiners, as well as beach balls and other items that can be given away to customers.

In addition, during an approved Polaris Days or Zodiac Days event, retailers may advertise cleaners, using a special promo code from Zodiac, at up to 10 percent below LAAP. Consumers who purchase select cleaners during the events will still receive a full rebate. To qualify for the 10 percent discount, dealers must opt-in to the program by purchasing a minimum number of qualifying cleaners to sell during the events.
