GENESIS is pleased to announce that Paul John Boulifard has been promoted to Design Faculty Chair. Boulifard, who is an Architect and LEED AP, has been serving as the GENESIS Architecture Faculty Advisor for the past year.
Boulifard holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from the North Carolina State University College of Design and a Master of Architecture from the Yale University School of Architecture. He has served as an adjunct professor at several notable institutions, including Wesleyan University, Connecticut College, Drury University and Watkins College of Art.
Throughout his tenure as a GENESIS instructor, Boulifard has taught a wide range of courses on topics such as architectural styles, elements of design and how to integrate a pool with the surrounding landscape design. His expansive knowledge and approachable demeanor have made him a popular instructor among GENESIS students.
“I am honored to serve as the GENESIS Design Faculty Chair,” says Boulifard. “GENESIS has a well-earned reputation in the pool, spa and hot tub industry as the leading provider of design education. I am excited to collaborate with GENESIS instructors and students to expand our amazing curriculum.”
As the Design Faculty Chair, Boulifard will be responsible for writing the curriculum for new GENESIS design courses, updating existing content and bringing real-life design experience to the classroom. He will work closely with Engineering Faculty Chair Terry Brannon, P.E., to ensure the GENESIS education program continues to elevate and inspire pool builders and designers.
“Paul John brings a level of expertise to GENESIS that we know our students and instructors will value,” says Skip Phillips, Master CBP, GENESIS Co-Founder. “He has a gift of being able to translate his professional experience into teachable moments that our students can understand and apply to their own businesses. Plus, he is a wonderful person to be around!”
