The Northeast Spa & Pool Association has named the winners for the 2016 Outstanding Achievement Awards – Builders and Service Competition. For the first time, the award winners were announced at a cocktail reception held at The Pool & Spa Show in Atlantic City in January.
The 2016 competition saw more than four dozen companies submit more than 200 entries for the Builders Competition and the Service Competition. Ninety-one awards were given in total. Competition was once again high as these awards continue to be viewed within the industry as a benchmark of professional achievement.
"Honoring both the best and brightest in building and service makes our competition standout from other awards programs," says Irene Insignares, president of NESPA. "It is always exciting when our industry comes together to celebration our achievements and to recognize the hard work that goes into creating the pools and spas of our clients' dreams."
The Outstanding Achievement - Builders Competition recognizes NESPA members whose installation of pools, spas, hot tubs and water features represent the best examples of the industry's products. The Outstanding Achievement - Service Competition recognizes NESPA members whose quality of service and repairs is also paired with a high level of customer service.

Special recognition was given to the Judge's Choice Best of Competition award winner: Cipriano Landscape Design (Ridgewood, N.J). This award is presented to a company based on its entire build process and as well as the completed work.
Once again, this year's attendees at the Outstanding Achievement Awards Celebration selected a People's Choice Best of Competition awardee for 2016. This year, Total Pool & Spa (Newtown, Conn.) received this distinguished honor.
Gold medal winners in the Service Competition include Aqua Pool & Patio, Inc. (East Windsor, Conn.), Integrity Pool & Spa (Lanoka Harbor, N.J.), Swimming Pools by Jack Anthony, Inc. (Center Moriches, N.Y.) and Ultimate in Pool Care (Bay Shore, N.Y.)
